Young adults, ages 13 and up, and adults that have been Baptized may receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in which the Holy Spirit is given to them to strengthen and perfect those who are following the teachings of Jesus Christ in the Roman Catholic Church. The bishop is the official minister of the sacrament and will celebrate a special Mass for these people. Young adults must attend weekly Sunday School classes through our Parish School of Religion (PSR), and adults must attend weekly Order of Christian Initiation of Adult (OCIA) classes on Monday evenings. Our usual year of Confirmation is eighth grade. Non-parochial school children should be registered in our faith formation classes in the Parish School of Religion program (PSR) at least one year prior to this sacrament.
